We had a call to save some honey bees out in El Campo, TX. The bees were located in a water meter box. The hive was very substantial and was situated very close to some cotton fields. It took about 3.5 hours to remove. We vacuumed up two and a half baskets of bees before we trucked them back to Cypress, TX and put them in their new hive. There was very little honey/nectar, some pollen and I never saw the queen. We will check back in on the hive in a few days once the weather warms to find the queen or eggs.
